This strikingly beautiful and delicate Triskele pewter keepsake box has three perfect interlacing spirals endlessly entwining on the lid. The Triskele box is based on the beautiful prehistoric stone carvings found around Europe, that pre-date Stonehenge.

The Triskele symbol, otherwise known as the Triskelion, is a trilateral symbol consisting of three interlocked spirals. Widely regarded as one of the oldest Irish symbols in existence, it appears on the Newgrange kerbstones, which date from approximately 3200 BC. Triskeles feature prominently in both ancient and modern Celtic art, as they evoke the Celtic interpretation of the three realms of material existence: earth, water, and sky (and all their interconnections). The symbol is also thought to represent the three worlds: spiritual, physical, and celestial.

The Triskele Trinket box is 5 cm (2”) in diameter. Perfect for keeping earrings and other small treasures safe.

Handmade from solid polished lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel-free and allergen friendly. Because it is solid metal the surface of your acorn and oak leaf necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace.

Lead-free pewter is an eco-friendly, recyclable metal which is incredible easty to care for easy to care for. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components.
